Annual Spring Food Drive

The Lion’s are hosting their Annual Spring Food Drive to collect donations of cash and non-perishable food items for the Lac du Bonnet Food Bank. Twice a year, the Lac du Bonnet Lions and a crew of volunteers take to the streets, knocking on doors to make the much-needed collections for our local food bank.

Everyone Can Help

If everyone in town donated even just one non-perishable food item we’d be sure to stock the shelves in no time, of course, the more generous you are the more people we will be able to help. So reach into your cupboards over the next few days and fill a bag with things that you can live without because there are people in our community who simply can’t.

Don’t Know What to Give?

We spoke with the amazing volunteers at the Lac du Bonnet Food Bank and here is the list of the most needed food items:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal
  • Canned Fruit or Juice
  • Canned meat – tins of ham, flakes of ham, chicken or turkey, tins of tuna or salmon
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Canned Stew
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Soup
  • Kraft Dinner

Let’s make a difference in the lives of the people of our community, give generously when the Lions’ Volunteers come knocking on May 9th.
