Small museums create their own destiny. They create a vision and realize it. They grab, define and portray the soul of a community.

Museums provide a unique interactive experience of getting up close to things we usually only see in books, newspapers or on the television.

The traditional role of museums is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious and historical importance, preserve them, research into them and present them to the public for the purpose of education and enjoyment.

Saturday May 20 from 10 am to 4 pm the Lac du Bonnet District Museum will be celebrating the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet 100 years through our 2017 exhibits experience the rich and diverse past of Lac du Bonnet and district. Refreshments will be available and donations accepted.
