The Lions are once again preparing for the Canada Day Celebrations and the annual Canada Day parade. Everyone is invited to enter a float and have fun on this special day.
The theme this year is “Lac du Bonnet Centennial – Our Past, Present, and Future“. This theme highlights the historic 100 year anniversary of our Rural Municipality, which back then included our town, called the Village of Lac du Bonnet at the time.
The Lions Club of Lac du Bonnet hopes to see a lot of floats entered into this year’s parade.
“It will be great fun to see the many entries representing our historic past or alternately our present or our future, where your imagination is the only boundary.” Rollan Simard, Parade Chairperson
Participation is not dependent on this theme, however, so please feel free to promote any other interests with your entry should you prefer.
“Celebrating Canada Day is an opportunity for each of us to demonstrate the pride we have in our Communities, businesses, organizations, and of course our great country. The Lions Canada Day Parade never fails to impress, so we hope you will consider an entry and come celebrate with Lac du Bonnet on this historic year.”
The Parade will again be marshaled near Watertown, on PR 502, just north of the Town of Lac du Bonnet at 11:30 AM on Sunday, July 2nd. The parade will start at 12:30 P.M.
The parade will start at 12:30 P.M. and will then proceed into the Town; following the same route as previous years and will disperse at the Community Centre area as normal. Participation is free to all. A parade route map will be provided on request.
Please download the 2017 Lions Canada Day Parade Registration Form and follow the instructions for entry.
We’ll see you all out at the Parade!
