Lunch Is On Us!

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until November 30, 2023
Lunch Is On Us is a program that provides food security, free homemade meals, and a sense of community to everyone involved or participating. Started by local farmer, volunteer, and member of the LdB Food Security Network, Tracy Neurenberg, the program welcomes all to enjoy a free soup lunch at the LdB Arena every Tuesday and Thursday. The support this program provides is undeniable and, at times, serves over 90 bowls a day. The program also cooks in batches to distribute to the Food Bank or local schools.
The Lunch Is On Us program is funded by HEROS Alliance: Helping Everyone Reach Out to Support and relies on grants and community donations for the continued support this program offers. Many local groups and businesses support when able, like the LdB Food Bank, Manitoba Harvest, Mrs. Lucci’s Family Resource Centre, LdB Lions, Campbell’s Foods, and Dancyt’s Foods.
