Welcome to the Lac du Bonnet Community Event Calendar!

The Lac du Bonnet District Museum is thrilled to present the Winnipeg River Rendezvous event! On July 1 and 2, enjoy this family event full of reenactments, demos, history, games, activities, delicious food, and so much more!

You can experience two days of authentic fur trade camps with reenactors from The Red River Collective. The reenactors will interact with attendees and share their stories of the 1850s – people can even meet a Hudson Bay Fur Trader!

New this year is the Voyageur Challenge, where you can test your canoe packing, log throwing, and critter tracking skills to see if you have what it takes to claim the Voyageur 2023 Title! Open to everyone, and there are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

And your kiddos will love the Fur Trade game, where kids are tasked with trading beaver pelts for necessities.

And, of course, the Museum itself will be open where you can dive into Lac du Bonnet’s rich and intriguing history. The museum showcases our history, from our Indigenous roots to our early settlers. Vis­itors of all ages can immerse themselves in the interactive exhibits and get up close to the unique objects and photos that tell the exciting stories that shaped Lac du Bonnet and the province of Manitoba!

This is a FREE event, but donations are always welcomed to help support the Museum. There will also be locally prepared wild rice and bannock for sale for $10.00 (includes drink).
